What it Means to Win at the Logistics Awards

With just over a week left until the latest instalment of the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards, we spoke to Nick Bithell – HR Director at Knights of Old – about what it meant to him to win an award at last years ceremony.

“At last years awards, I won the Schools Inspirer in the Community Award. The work that I was nominated for, involved working with local schools promoting logistics, and helping to promote logistics and careers within the sector.

On a personal level, winning the award felt very nice to have someone recognise a lot of the work that I do. I dont see this element of what I do as particularly hard work but its very rewarding to work with a school in this way and for someone to recognise that work outside of that circle was… great!

These awards are important to Knights of Old as a group, we need to celebrate ourselves as a group and celebrate our successes; at times Logistics does suffer with a bit of a public relations image problem and I think awards like this really do a lot to promote the excellent things that are done within logistics.”
