… and, in a few words, can you tell us what your company does?

We cover all areas of Private client and commercial law having offices in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire, operating from Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Higham Ferrers, Wellingborough and Leicester.  Our services for individuals and businesses are extensive: for businesses we provide advice on disputes (litigation); debt recovery; employment law; corporate & commercial law; commercial property; professional negligence (suing a professional); and insolvency. For individuals, we advise on wills, trusts, estates and probate ; care home fees; personal injury; clinical or medical negligence; conveyancing; private landlord services; family law including divorce and mediation; and childcare law.

Why have you chosen this particular category to sponsor and what aligns your business to the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards?

We have clients from a diverse range of industry sectors and of all sizes – from multinational organisation through to SMEs. Wherever a business is in its lifecycle, we can potentially help. Combine that with our active interest in the local economy (as demonstrated by our participation in the Northamptonshire Chamber Of Commerce) and the SME category was an obvious choice. We try to support businesses of all sizes and one of the ways we can do that is by ensuring that SMEs get good legal advice through the provision of affordable, fixed price and menu priced offerings.

What major challenges do you think the logistics sector/ your sector faces?

In simple terms, Brexit is at the forefront of everyone’s mind…but it’s difficult to plan for what remains essentially unknown. Our own business is not so very different to other businesses in facing ever-increasing red-tape and regulatory issues. Also, finding the right staff can be a challenge for us as it is for many employers: having said that, once we do find the right people, they tend to stay…
